Tom Krips Jr. began his construction career in 1978 as a laborer on residential job sites, gaining hands-on experience by learning every aspect of the work. After moving into a foreman role with a truss contractor, he developed the skills and knowledge that led him to start his own company.
In 1985, Tom opened his first office and began building what would become Tom Krips Construction Inc., officially incorporated in 1987. The company initially focused on truss work for residential developments throughout Broward and Palm Beach Counties before expanding into complete shell construction for high-end custom homes, marine construction, and equipment services.
What started with a single pickup truck has grown into a multi-division construction company supported by a fleet of 24 trucks and decades of field experience. Today, Tom continues to work alongside Lisa, who oversees office operations, and Taylor and Hunter, who lead key areas of the business. Taylor manages the Marine and Equipment divisions, while Hunter works alongside Tom in the Shell Construction division.
Tom Krips Construction has grown into a company with three core divisions: Shell Contractor, Marine, and Land. This structure allows the team to support a wider range of project needs while staying focused on the type of work the company does best.
The Shell Contractor division supports structural concrete and shell construction, including foundations, slabs, structural walls, concrete roofing, and complete shell packages.
The Marine division supports waterfront construction needs, including docks, seawalls, pile driving, bulkheads, boat lifts, decks, boardwalks, and dredging.
The Land division supports site work, land preparation, earthwork, clearing, drainage, building pads, sheet piling, helical piles, and project access needs.

Tom Krips Construction is a family-built company. Tom’s sons, Taylor and Hunter, started working at an early age, spending summers on job sites and learning the business from the ground up.
